Our purpose
We publish careful, engaging work that helps readers understand the lagoon as a lived environment: layered, fragile and continually changing. We are not an official tourism authority and are not owned by any hotel or destination business.
Editorial policy
We distinguish reporting from opinion, verify material facts with reliable sources and identify authorship and update dates on published features. We correct substantive errors transparently.

Editorial choices are ours. Hosted travel, affiliate links, sponsorship or other material relationships will be labelled clearly on the relevant page. Payment never buys an undisclosed editorial recommendation.
